1. New community service ” SpoGOMI×UNIQLO“

UNIQLO will start this new community service on the 6th of November, 2021. They work on picking up the trash with the local people as a community service, but they also enjoy this activity like sports.

UNIQLO has worked on a lot of community services following the sustainability statement “The power of clothes becomes the power of society.”

2. What is SpoGOMI?

Social Sports Initiative actually started SpoGOMI in 2008. Companies and organizations usually just pick up the trash, but SpoGOMI adds the sport rules to enjoy it, such as the time limit, points added by quantity and quality of trash. What’s more, they wear the same kit, like a sports team. This is the new experience of trash pick-up.

3. Why they pick up trash?

One of the biggest problems on environmental issues is marine pollution caused by trash. Most of the marine trash comes from the city via the river. SpoGOMI makes all kids and adults learn about this problem with fun.
