J.League 2022 | New predictions! Nagoya Grampus

J league 2022 will start this weekend, there are a lot of exciting matches this week. These opening games are going to predict this season. In this article, I pick up Nagoya Grampus.

The Levain cup title never make Nagoya satisfied

Nagoya spent the tough season last year. Many football journalists predicted the possibility to get the league title, but they even failed to get the qualification for the ACL challenge as they finished 5th place.

The coach wasted many talented players to get winning points

My concern before the season came true.

J.LEAGUE 2021 SEASON PREVIEW 【Nagoya Grampus】 | Japan Teams

Massimo didn’t give chances to all players fairly. There are always familiar players on the pitch. Compared with Kawasaki which is the league champion and Kobe which competed in the qualification against Nagoya, Nagoya should have apparently tried more players.

Kawasaki registered 31 players and 15 players played more than 1,000 minutes. Kobe registered 39 players and 18 players played more than 1,000 minutes. Meanwhile, Nagoya registered 28 players and 16 players played more than 1,000 mins. It seems that Kobe apparently tried many players while the number of Nagoya and Kawasaki is the same. The number is the same but there is a big difference between Nagoya and Kawasaki.

Only Yamane played more than 3,000 minutes at Kawasaki side. Nagoya has 4 players who played more than 3,000 minutes, it’s easy to imagine that this caused not only players’ fatigue but also injury problems.

They were actually in a difficult situation and many unexpected accidents happened, but the coach should have predicted a lot of situations and prepared well if they wanted to get all titles. So I’m afraid to say that Massimo Ficcadenti should have been responsible for their failure. He should have handled those problems, then honestly it didn’t make me surprised after he was fired.

Though his contribution to Nagoya was real, he made Nagoya one of the strongest defensive teams in the league(actually I have to add the following comments, his players have high intelligence about football strategies, high potential to adopt all tactics, and good personalities for a hard working…).

And also Maruyama left the team because of an injury after the 17th game.

Hasegawa will bring Aggressive, Speed, Fast break to the club!

The new coach arrived, Kenta Hasegawa signed with Nagoya Grampus. He has a lot of experience as a coach and a player. His achievements are enough to make us have hope for this season. Though he struggled to organize the club last year, that actually makes me feel concerned if the same thing happened to Nagoya.

Maeda left the club but new players coming!!

Kenta Maeda is chasing his dream in the Netherland, but new players will fill in his role, even they will create new Nagoya’s strong points with Kenta Hasegawa.

Physical monster Noriyoshi Sakai

Yoshinori Sakai who is the little brother of Japanese superstar player Gotoku Sakai joined Nagoya. He fired two times last year against Nagoya Grampus. He already gave Nagoya funs a great impression.

He will compete for the striker position against Mu Kanasaki while Jakub Świerczok can’t be allowed to play the game because of a suspect about doping.

The man who has eagle eyes, Keiya Sento

A former Sagan-Tosu player, Keiya Sento has high skills to control the game. He provides not only good passing but also scoring goals.

Ball collecter, Leonardo Silva

Which foreign players do you want to play for Japan national team? I would say Leo Silva without thinking 5 years ago, but he is still somebody. He left Kashima, it doesn’t mean he was not good enough. Diego Pituca who is the new Kashima’s Brazilian midfielder is too good.

Inagaki is definitely the first choice but who knows the second one? and who knows who is the best at the end of the season?

Other new players, Tiago Pagnussat from Cerezo Osaka, Hidemasa Koda from U-18, Akinari Kawazura also have high potential to get their position.

Even though Takuji Yonemoto, Kenta Maeda, Gabriel Xavier, KIM MIN TAE, Yasuki Kimoto, all of them who showed us great performance last year left the club, I still see the hope in Nagoya Grampus. Because I expect that Kenta Hasegawa will create and show the brand new Nagoya Grampus and we can expect the title this season.
