Ange Postecoglou left Yokohama F Marinos after three years because one of the biggest club in Scotland, Celtic have appointed this Australian manager as the club’s manager on a 12-month rolling contract.

Interview in Celtic

2017 Yokohama F. Marinos announced they had appointed Postecoglou as a head coach. He didn’t have a good start in the first season, they finished 12th place. But everyone saw his amazing manager skills soon. Although the club finished with the second highest number of goals scored in the season, they also conceded the third most goals of any club during the season.

It was said that he received several offers from other clubs or other national teams, but Postecoglou extended his contract with Yokohama F. Marinos. Actually Marinos and this manager really had a good relationship.

【Match report】26/2/2021 KAWASAKI FRONTALE vs Yokohama F Marinos | Japan Teams

So considering his achievement, everyone thought this surprising news could affect players but original 10 club Yokohama F Marinos hasn’t changed at all. They keep wining and now they are at the second place in J1 League. They never give up to win the league. Yokohama F Marinos is still the first club to stop unbeaten Kawasaki Frontale.

Thank you Postecoglou, we wish your brighter future!

2. Our Speed Star is finally here, J League!!

One of Big3 is back!!

Ryo MIYAICHI is finally back to Japan. This is the first time to play for a Japanese professional league after he graduated from his high school. He used to be called BIG 3 when he was a high school student (Gaku SHIBASAKI, Shuto KOJIMA, and Ryo MIYAICHI). And he contracted with Arsenal as soon as he finished his school life.

28 years old winger played for Arsenal, Feyenoord(loan), Bolton Wanderers(loan), Wigan Athletic (loan), Twente(loan), Jong Twente(loan), FC St.Pauli. He spent all his professional football life in Europe, but he finally decided to drop by Yokohama bay.

Goals and Skills in Feyenoord

While he sometimes showed his high potential which Arsène Charles Ernest Wenger OBE found, he always struggled to recover his injuries. It could be difficult to play for big clubs in Europe but still he has a lot of chances to play for Japan national team. I really want to see again that he will dominate world class defenders with his speed.

The most famous scene

If Ryo is still faster than anyone, we’ll see the fastest attacking trios in the league. Daizen MAEDA, Teruhito NAKAGAWA, and Ryo MIYAICHI. Which teams could stop them? Maybe no teams are. If those torios perform very well, people won’t regret Postecoglou left.

I can’t wait for watching his play in Japan again!!
