TOKUSHIMA VORTIS came back to J1 League. The last time to belong to J1 league was 7 years ago, but it could be soon to leave the league.
The biggest news which Ricardo Rodríguez Suárez left the team made TOKUSHIMA fans disappointed and worried about 2021 season.
Ricardo Rodriguez who coached since 2017 got “MANAGER OF THE MEIJI YASUDA J2 LEAGUE CHAMPIONS” last year. Nobody is against this result because he was the first Spanish coach to get the title of J.LEAGUE. It’s easy to imagine that TOKUSHIMA will struggle to win the games this season because he left the team.
Instead of Ricardo Rodriguez, TOKUSHIMA welcomed a new coach Daniel “Dani” Poyatoswho used to coach Real Madrid youth coach, but he wasn’t allowed to join the team right after he came to Japan because of COVID-19. It remains big concerns to organize the team though he joined the training with remote TV.
Usually only 2 teams are relegated but this year four teams will be relegated to J2 league because of irregular season last year. That will make the season much harder than usual. The key factor for surviving this season is definitely how much young players fit the team and perform well. I have highly hope for them.
He was born in Barcelona and he started coaching for RCD Espanyol.
After he coached Real Madrid youth team(2012-2014, 2018-2020), he coached Panathinaikos (Super League Greece) as a head coach.
The most concern is his experience on a top team coach. He spent most of time as a youth coach. But his experience is definitely important for young players.
TOKUSHIMA VORTIS didn’t get experienced players but promising young players , so I can say that his coaching skills will be very useful to build a new young team.
