Suzuki and SkyDrive start manufacturing at Shizuoka factory!!
The era of flying cars has finally arrived! SkyDrive, leading the industry in flying car development, has started manufacturing “flying cars” through a collaboration with Suzuki! The manufacturing is taking place at a factory in Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture, where Suzuki’s expertise will be utilized to achieve high-quality and efficient production.
The riveting ceremony, held on March 6th, was attended by the presidents of both companies to pray for safe operations. Moving forward, manufacturing of the SD-05 model will progress with the aim of flying at the Osaka-Kansai Expo. Subsequently, production of products for general sale is also planned.
Mr. Tomohiro Fukuzawa, CEO of SkyDrive, expressed his delight, stating, “I am extremely pleased to announce the start of manufacturing flying cars with Suzuki.” Collaborating with Suzuki’s manufacturing specialists, he expressed determination to produce safe, secure, and high-quality flying cars.
Flying cars represent the next generation of transportation, realized through electrification and automation technologies. Unlike conventional automobiles, they are capable of vertical takeoff and landing, allowing for traffic avoidance and free movement in the sky.
